Odfjell Technology is seeking a Communications Advisor for a 12-month maternity cover. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening our brand and supporting both internal and external communications across the organisation.
The position reports to SVP HR and is based in Bergen, Norway.
About the role
As Communications Advisor, you will work both strategically and hands-on with communications across a wide range of channels and stakeholders. We are looking for a confident and structured communicator with strong analytical skills, good judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
You enjoy collaborating across functions, advising leaders and project teams, and transforming complex topics into clear and engaging communication.
Key responsibilities- Contribute to the development and execution of Odfjell Technology's corporate communications strategy
- Ensure clear, consistent and high-quality messaging across internal and external channels
- Develop, manage and publish content across digital platforms, including website, intranet and social media
- Strengthen our brand and online presence through engaging and relevant content
- Support employer branding initiatives in close collaboration with HR
- Drive engagement through internal communication initiatives
- Advise leaders and project teams on communication strategies and content, including presentations, events, speeches and key initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities
- Maintain and further develop content on the company intranet
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the preparation of Annual Reports and Sustainability Statements
- Relevant higher education in Communications, Journalism, PR, Media Studies or similar
- (Relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
- Strong interest in corporate communications and employee engagement
- Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining high quality and sound judgement
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, proactive and results-oriented working style
- Ability to work independently on complex projects with input from across the organisation
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Adobe tools and WordPress is an advantage
