System Development Engineer

Metronor Industrial seeks system development engineer to further strengthen our Norwegian based development team. The right candidate will play an important role in further developing the core technology of Metronor Group, with special emphasis on an innovative and novel optical encoder technology that we are currently developing in-house. While based in Norway, the system development engineer will work in projects serving customers, partners and projects worldwide.

Tasks:

• Systems and software design, development, integration, validation and testing.
• Method development, optics, lasers, cameras, sensors and thermal control
• Project management and interface towards customers and partners

Wanted qualifications:

• M.Sc. or PhD. in information technology, mathematics, physics/optics, cybernetics or a related field
• Software and method development using state-of-the-art development tools (including C++ within
• Microsoft Studio environment), some MatLab familiarity will also be an advantage
• Signal analysis
• Mathematical modeling and statistics
• Digital image processing
• Photogrammetry
• Documentation; Nationality + Diploma/Grades
