Dogsledding Kennel Manager job announcement
We're on the hunt for passionate and outgoing Dogsledding Kennel Manage to lead our dogyard & staff to offer guests an unforgettable self drive dogsledding experience. If you love animals, meeting new people, and working outdoors, this is your chance to turn Arctic days into something truly spectacular.
Job Description: Dogsledding Kennel Manager - Full time contract, start date immediately
Paid: Fixed salary (rate to be agreed upon).
Equipment and training will be provided by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
-among others in the position:
-Animal welfare and care: Ensure that all dogs receive proper nutrition, health supervision, training and care.
-Training and socialization: Develop training programs for the dogs.
-Kennel operations: Plan and implement daily routines such as feeding, cleaning and health monitoring.
-Health monitoring: Collaborate with veterinarians for vaccinations and treatment.
-Team management: Supervise and coordinate employees, volunteers or interns.
-Seasonal preparations: Ensure that equipment and dogs are ready for the winter season.
-Customer and guest experiences: Participate in guiding and disseminating knowledge to visitors and tourists
-Staffing manager
-Assist in coordination in the event of absence/illness
-distribute internal resources, and ensure that planned trips can be carried out in a safe manner. If
necessary the employee must cover shifts themselves.
-Ensure close cooperation with coordinator/administration
-Maintenance of equipment and premises associated with the kennel business.
-Ensure good cooperation between First Adventure and Malangen Resort
-Additional tasks as required to work in the dogyard

Skills and Qualifications:· Working experience as a guide or related positions.
· Experience with dogsledding either as a musher, minimum 3 years / seasons
· Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus, but not required.
