Senior Project Completion Engineer – Electro

Location: Stord (with offshore rotation during execution phase)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Completion Engineer – Electro to join our team in Stord.
 

In this role, you will take system responsibility for electrical systems such as HV, LV, UPS, heat trace, and SAS interfaces, ensuring successful completion and commissioning activities both onshore and offshore.

This position plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handover of systems from project to operations, contributing to the overall success of major energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as System Responsible Engineer for electrical systems, including HV systems, heat trace systems, LV systems, UPS systems, and SAS interfaces.
• Review and verify documentation and drawings relevant to MC and commissioning.
• Provide technical and engineering input throughout project phases.
• Estimate, plan, and coordinate commissioning scope of work both onshore and offshore.
• Independently plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
• Participate in MC punch-outs and FATs (factory acceptance tests) at supplier sites.
• Deliver input and update progress in PIMS.
• Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures for assigned systems.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure efficient execution with a strong HSSE focus.
• Manage ATS resources and other contractor support during commissioning.
• Ensure needed spare parts and special tools are available before execution.
• Plan and perform first fills in a timely manner.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a high focus on safety and quality throughout commissioning.
• Ensure smooth transition from project to operations, and support pre-start-up and performance testing.
• Participate in system-specific MC punch rounds and provide progress reporting.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical commissioning and completion within oil and gas/energy projects.
• Strong background in system-based commissioning (HV, LV, UPS, DB systems).
• Experience from NORSOK projects and understanding of Norwegian Continental Shelf standards.
• Familiarity with project completion systems (e.g., PIMS) and document management tools.
• Excellent communication skills (fluency) in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
