Technical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Superintendent to play a key role in strengthening technical performance, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement, ensuring Safe, efficient, and low-carbon operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of rig technical systems, equipment, and maintenance activities.
• Verify that all maintenance work is planned and executed in accordance with company management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Conduct maintenance verifications and audits in line with the annual audit plan.
• Ensure effective implementation and utilization of the maintenance management system for all maintenance activities onboard.
• Monitor and follow up deficiencies, corrective actions, non-conformities, and improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to offshore personnel regarding the Maintenance System.
• Drive continuous improvement of maintenance strategies, procedures, routines, spare parts management, and contracted services.
• Review and analyze monthly maintenance performance reports and actively participate in maintenance evaluation meetings.
• Coordinate corrective maintenance performed by offshore service personnel and external vendors.
• Manage and quality assure onshore overhaul and repair activities.
• Coordinate and follow up modification projects and technical upgrades in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all modification work is planned, approved, and executed in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Chief Engineer Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience from MODU operations.
• Strong technical understanding of drilling equipment, rig systems, maintenance management, and offshore operations.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably Star Maintenance System or equivalent.
• Familiarity with audits, technical compliance, and continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
