We are hiring a new Airfreight Manager to take on a key role as we continue to grow our organization.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage national and international airfreight shipments (import/export).

• Prepare quotations and pricing for individual shipments, tenders, and long-term contracts.

• Handle all operational processes including documentation, customs clearance, invoicing, and settlement.

• Manage billing and financial settlement through CASS in compliance with IATA regulations and standards.

• Maintain daily contact and coordination with clients, airlines, subcontractors, and global network partners.

• Oversee and support the airfreight team, including staffing, training, onboarding, and development.

• Ensure compliance with international standards and optimize internal processes for efficiency and service quality.

• Monitor and manage financial performance with full responsibility for the department’s results.

• Maintain and negotiate agreements with clients, subcontractors, and partners.

• Actively contribute to the strategic development of K2 Project Forwarding’s airfreight activities.

Qualifications:

• Substantial experience from airfreight operations.

• Experience with air chartering and project shipments are an advantage.

• MSc/BSc degree within Logistics & Supply Chain Management is preferred.

• Relevant industry experience may compensate for lack of formal education.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Highly organized with a systematic approach to tasks.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.

• Extensive computer proficiency. Experience with CargoWise is a strong advantage.

Location:

The position is primarily based at our office in Bergen. However, for the right candidate, we are open to alternative locations such as Stavanger or Oslo.
