Senior Accountant -- Help Shape the Future of Global Offshore Energy

Seaway7 is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in either Zoetermeer or Oslo office. In this role, you’ll take responsibility for statutory reporting, audits, and internal controlsacross multiple international entities, supporting our mission to deliver world‑class offshore wind and energy projects.

The Senior Accountantis responsible for the preparation of the statutory financial statements, coordinates internal and external audits and ensures the adherence of the internal controls framework for entities in the Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom, Germany (Local GAAP), Taiwan, Denmark, France, Cyprus and USA. What will you be doing?

• Prepare statutory and consolidated financial statements for the main operating and payroll entities.

• Support Financial Accountants in preparing statutory financial statements for group entities.

• Coordinate interim, internal, and year‑end audits.

• Coordinate the audit and financial statement process with local accounting firms.

• Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform monthly analytical reviews.

• Report monthly on internal control self‑assessment procedures.

• Ensure correct procedures are followed and all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit‑ready.

• Work closely with the Tax Manager to ensure transfer pricing agreements support intercompany charges.

• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and verify proper application through quarterly IFRS reviews.

• Analyse variances, investigate issues, and take corrective action to ensure financial accuracy.

• Provide accounting and internal control support and guidance to the business.

• Reconcile financial data to maintain accurate account balances and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.

• Support the preparation of technical accounting papers for audit purposes.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Extensive technical accounting background, ideally with Big Four experience or exposure to large multinational environments.

• Solid experience in statutory reporting, external audits, and internal controls.

• Knowledge of IFRS and an interest in developing Dutch GAAP knowledge.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables required; Power Query.)

• Experience with SAP.

• Highly accurate, organised, and comfortable working to deadlines.

• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).

• A motivated approach focused on improving processes and committed to continuous learning.

• Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
