Catering Head Chef

Hai Catering is looking for a structured, hands-on, and dedicated Head Chef to lead our catering operations. This is a key leadership position with both strategic and operational responsibility, offering the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth and development of our business.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in daily production while also having the ability to plan, organize, and continuously improve kitchen operations and service delivery.

About the Role

As Head Chef at Hai Catering, you will have full culinary and operational responsibility for our catering department. You will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality food production, efficient operations, profitability, and exceptional customer experiences.

This is a highly operational role, and the successful candidate must enjoy being actively involved in food preparation, planning, and event execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for catering production and kitchen operations
• Planning, coordinating, and executing catering events and deliveries
• Menu development and seasonal menu planning
• Leading, training, and supporting the kitchen team
• Purchasing, inventory management, and cost control
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
• Maintaining efficient systems, structure, and workflow within the kitchen
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and consistency across all deliveries
• Contributing to the continued development and growth of Hai Catering

Who We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities
• Experience from catering, large-scale food production, banqueting, or similar operations
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Good financial understanding and cost-awareness
• A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
• Ability to communicate in English or Norwegian
