If you thrive in a technically complex environment, enjoy cross‑team collaboration, and are motivated by delivering high‑quality, business‑critical solutions, this could be the role for you.

About the role

As Product Owner, you will own a platform used fleet‑wide in active operations. This position requires strong prioritization abilities, technical understanding, and confident decision‑making in a distributed and cross‑functional setting.

This is not a UI‑focused role. Instead, it centers on platform management, integrations, release governance, and smooth delivery across multiple teams.

Core responsibilities

  • Coordinate feature development across teams

  • Support release planning and delivery

  • Manage incidents and maintenance prioritization

Backlog and planning
  • Own and maintain the NavBox Product Backlog

  • Prepare backlog items for refinement and sprint planning

  • Propose clear sprint goals and priorities

  • Prepare and lead Sprint Reviews/Demos

  • Collaborate closely with the Team Lead on planning and capacity

  • Participate actively in team ceremonies and cross‑functional meetings

  • Work with stakeholders and users to understand real needs

  • Perform initial analysis before work reaches the team

  • Ensure backlog items include clear descriptions, context & acceptance criteria

Ways of working (Scrum)
  • Follow Scrum principles

  • Respect sprint commitments and team capacity

  • Work closely with the Team Lead / Scrum Master

  • Promote transparency and predictable delivery

Team Collaboration
  • Be a strong partner to the development team

  • Support with clarifications and decision‑making

  • Help build a focused, sustainable, and motivating working environment

  • Act as the main point of contact for NavBox topics

  • Communicate priorities, progress, and decisions clearly

  • Align expectations between business and development teams

What we are looking for
  • Strong ownership mindset and decision‑making ability

  • Ability to prioritize based on business value

  • Comfort with technically complex products or platforms

  • Curiosity and willingness to deeply understand the product

  • Good communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience working in distributed teams

  • Basic understanding of Scrum (PSPO I or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience with platform or integration-heavy products

  • Technical background or strong technical understanding

  • Experience balancing maintenance and new product development

This position is based in our Egersund or Aberdeen office
