As a result of our recent funding and growth, we are scaling rapidly - and now we are looking for a highly credible Sales Director specifically dedicated to our Maritime and Offshore vertical.

In this role, you will take ownership of large, complex, project-based sales cycles targeting major assets like ships, drilling rigs, FPSOs and other offshore assets. Your customers will be shipowners and offshore actors, but you will also engage with the wider ecosystem to ensure that EQON is the number one choice of heat trace control on board. This will include shipyards, electrical integrators, energy majors, consultants, and others. You will have the opportunity to sell our technology into both new-build projects and as retrofit solutions for existing vessels.

You will be responsible for delivering sales of EQON hardware combined with EQON’s online platform licences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Maritime Vertical: Take full commercial ownership of the maritime and offshore segment, driving revenue through high-value sales.

  • Target the Right Decision Makers: Build relationships and navigate sales cycles directly with vessel owners.

  • Create Champions in the Maritime Ecosystem: Engage and activate stakeholders including shipyards, integrators, energy companies, to become advocates and enablers for EQON solutions.

  • Manage Complex Sales Cycles: Guide prospects through sales processes for both new-build vessels and existing retrofit upgrades.

  • Evangelize the Technology: Credibly communicate how Eqon's smart control solutions can heavily reduce diesel consumption, lower CO emissions, and provide better technical oversight of their assets.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Industry Expertise: You must have a proven commercial background selling into the maritime and offshore segments. You must deeply understand this world and possess specific competencies and credibility in this sector.

  • Skills over Tenure: Ideally you will have 5-10 years’ experience selling into this space. But we are open to candidates with longer experience, or other relevant experience in a different field. We are looking for true talent with a track record of opening and closing hard-won opportunities.

  • Technical Competence: While you will be supported by a highly skilled and knowledgeable technical team, it is important that you are well versed in electrical design and configuration in ships and rigs in order to maintain credibility with technical teams.

  • High Credibility: You will be speaking with senior stakeholders at major international maritime and offshore companies; you must be highly confident, articulate, and have superb presentation skills.

  • Language: Because the maritime and offshore industry is highly international, fluent English is the primary requirement. Norwegian would be highly desired, and other languages also looked on favourably.
