As a result of our recent funding and growth, we are scaling rapidly - and with that comes a need to strengthen the bridge between our commercial and technical teams.
This is not a target-carrying sales role. It is a technical leadership role with a commercial dimension. You will own the technical relationship with our customers from first conversation through to post-installation - acting as the primary expert our customers and partners trust to ask the hard questions, design the right solutions, and make sure every project goes live smoothly. By doing so, you will enable our commercial team to focus on growing accounts, while giving customers the expert-level guidance they need to get full value from EQON.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-
Pre-sales technical engagement: Lead technical conversations in customer and partner meetings, asking the right questions to understand site conditions, existing systems, and requirements so that EQON can present the best possible solution.

Solutions design and recommendations: Translate site and project requirements into clear product and configuration recommendations, reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and working hands-on with electrical systems when needed.

Project commissioning and execution: Support installation on a practical engineering level and help customers connect their systems to EQON Online, including Modbus and API integration, navigating network security, firewalls, and IT/OT boundaries.

Post-installation customer success: Conduct site visits, support ongoing customer relationships, and participate in upsell campaigns to help customers expand their use of the EQON platform.

Partner and contractor collaboration: Work closely with electrical integrators, industrial contractors, and installers across both land-based and maritime/offshore projects

Product and engineering feedback loop: Act as a vital conduit between customers and our engineering team, translating real-world challenges into product insights that shape future development and software features.

Travel to customer sites: Regular travel across Norway (and occasionally internationally) to customer facilities, shipyards, and industrial sites, often alongside the Chief Commercial Officer.

Strong electrical engineering foundation You hold a relevant electrical engineering qualification and have. genuine hands-on experience. You can read a single-line diagram, talk confidently about overcurrents, switchboards, and insulation values, and get your hands dirty on site when needed.

Industry experience across onshore and offshore You understand both worlds --- land-based industrial environments (buildings, process plants, infrastructure) and maritime/offshore settings (vessels, FPSOs, shipyards). Prior exposure to process heat trace or frost protection systems is a strong advantage.

Digital and connectivity know-how You are comfortable working with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, can navigate API integrations, and are familiar with network security considerations including firewalls and IT/OT segmentation. You do not need to be a software developer, but you need to be able to get systems talking to each other.

Credible and personable with customers You are not a sales person, but you are someone who enjoys engaging with customers, building relationships, and being the trusted technical voice in the room. You communicate complex ideas clearly and earn credibility quickly.

Language skills Fluency in Norwegian is strongly preferred, as the majority of your work will be with Norwegian engineers, installers, and partners. Additional language skills --- particularly English --- are highly valued given our international growth ambitions.
