We’re hiring: Vessel Manager Operations \| Sea Shipping AS (Ulsteinvik, Norway)

Sea Shipping AS is a ship management company operating a rapidly growing fleet of Ocean Energy Support Vessels. With seven vessels currently in operation, we deliver services to an international market within the ocean energy sector.

Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a new Vessel Manager to join our team in Ulsteinvik.

About the role

As a Vessel Manager Operations , you will have operational responsibility for a portfolio of vessels. You will ensure safe, efficient, and optimized operations, working closely with crews, clients, and key stakeholders.

The role combines hands-on operational follow-up with a broader focus on performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day operational follow-up of dedicated vessels

• Ensure compliance with client requirements and operational standards

• Monitor vessel performance, reporting, and regulatory compliance

• Budget responsibility, cost control, and financial follow-up

• Coordinate with class, flag state, and relevant authorities

• Contribute to improvements and operational projects

• Track and report key operational KPIs

Qualifications:

• Proven experience from leadership roles within the maritime industry

• Strong communication skills in an international setting

• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach

• A high level of ownership and commitment to operational excellence

• Experience with offshore vessel operations (DP vessels)

• Good understanding of maritime regulations and client expectations

• Relevant maritime education (nautical, marine engineering, or maritime management) is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
