Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Instrument/Senior Instrument Engineer to take technical responsibility for metering systems in greenfield offshore projects. The role involves design, vendor follow-up, documentation, and cross-disciplinary coordination throughout the engineering and delivery phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination, and follow-up of metering packages and metering systems.
• Act as PRE (Package Responsible Engineer) for the metering package.
• Manage and evaluate vendor technical documentation and ensure timely information flow.
• Identify and communicate vendor data needs to support project progress.
• Conduct FATs, vendor surveys, and technical explanations.
• Prepare and finalize engineering documents, data registers, and discipline deliverables.
• Collaborate and interface with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation, automation, or similar engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in metering design/specification for greenfield offshore oil and gas projects.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with PRE responsibilities in greenfield project execution.
• Strong knowledge of metering design standards: NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, IEC.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team.
• Structured, accurate, and committed to quality and deadlines.
• Proactive mindset with willingness to seek guidance and share experience.
• Ex course.
• FSE course.
