As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Method Engineer -- Electrical, Instrument, Telecom for an exciting project at Stord .
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences

• Prepare constructability documents and implement construction and HSSE friendly design

• Contribute to establishment of schedules

• Follow up and verify that methods are reflected in project schedules

• Participate in design reviews, focus on constructability

• Organize and lead meetings as required

• Ensure involvement from the project’s personnel in development of construction methods

• Give input to lessons learned reports and workshops, improvement of routines and procedures

• Communicate and collaborate with all areas within Method discipline, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering and Construction.

We think you should have:

• A Technical or Bachelor’s degree. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.

• Good knowledge of the work processes within the discipline being carried out.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with EPC processes within the Topside and Facilities / Renewables segments.

• Software skills in MS Office 365.

• Proficiency in Method Planner, Visual Construction Planning, Autodesk NavisWorks Manage, and Aveva E3D Design (Constructability Engine).
