Now we are looking for an experienced Discipline Manager to lead our Analysis (Hydrodynamics) discipline. The role is central to delivering high‑quality hydrodynamic assessments that define operational limits, support safe offshore installation and optimise for vessel operability to minimise waiting on weather.

  • Operational limit and weather criterion definition
  • Dynamic and quasi‑static installation and recovery analyses
  • Lay analyses for flexible pipes, umbilicals, and cables, ,mooring lines
  • Installation modelling for subsea structures
  • Operability assessments, optimising for vessel operability to minimise waiting on weather
  • Vessel motion evaluations, RAO governance (RAO generation, RAO auditing, RAO validation, input to vessel condition vrs RAO optimal use)
  • Continual optimisation of analysis methods with new technologies and methods (screening, automated batch generation, post processing, maintance of systems)

Analyses must comply with industry codes (DNV, API, ISO) while optimizing vessel operability to minimize waiting on weather.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Analysis discipline across four engineering offices; manage engineers from graduate to senior specialist level.
  • Perform line management duties: performance reviews, competence development, training, and career planning.
  • Ensure effective resource planning across projects, studies, and tenders.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert and primary technical advisor for hydrodynamic analysis.
  • Maintain and develop discipline-specific procedures, methodologies, and modelling standards.
  • Drive digitalization and business improvement initiatives, including AI‑enhanced workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines and project engineering teams.
  • Lead internal development initiatives and support technology and method improvements.
  • Some travel between engineering locations is expected.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (minimum) in Marine Technology, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, or similar.
  • Extensive experience with hydrodynamic analysis and OrcaFlex-based modelling for offshore installation operations.
  • Strong understanding of offshore construction methods, vessel capabilities, and environmental limitations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and guide technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple locations.
  • Interest in digitalization, automation, and future‑oriented engineering development.
