Are you passionate about molecular biology and Next-Generation Sequencing in Life Science and Cancer Research?
The Genomics Core Facility (https://oslo.genomics.no/) at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) and Helse Sør-Øst (HSØ) is seeking a specialised engineer to join our team of advanced laboratory technologists.
Our core facility supports cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research across the health region and Norway, providing advanced expertise in molecular biology techniques and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Our capabilities span genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and proteomics, from bulk analysis to spatial and single-cell approaches. As part of our team, you will work on diverse and impactful projects, with a strong focus on managing and further developing our established liquid-handling automation systems. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, broad-competence team within the Department of Core Facilities, which comprises eight regional and national core facility activities and offers cutting-edge technologies (http://www.ous-research.no/corefacilities/). The department is located at the Institute for Cancer Research at OUH and maintains close collaboration with research groups at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo. The Genomics Core facility runs the NorSeq-Cancer node, a specialised competence hub for cancer-related projects, which is part of the Norwegian Consortium for Sequencing (NorSeq), a national research infrastructure that brings together Norway’s leading genomics environments and supports research nationwide.
The position period is two years with the possibility of extension.
By joining the Genomics Core Facility, you will work at the forefront of biomedical research, surrounded by a diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking research community. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise, expand your knowledge, and contribute to meaningful discoveries that improve human health.
