QHSE Director
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the company's QHSE strategy
- Strengthening safety culture across the organization
- Ensure compliance with PSA, NORSOK, ISM/ISPS, ISO and other requirements
- Maintain and improve the Company Management System (CMS)
- Lead audits, inspections, and verifications (internal and external)
- Lead investigations and follow-up of incidents and non-conformities
- Act as the main interface towards authorities and external stakeholders
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response arrangements
- Ensure competence management, training, and certification programs
- Collaborate closely with operations, technical, and project teams
- Drive continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Relevant degree within HSE, safety, engineering, or similar technical discipline
- Extensive experience from offshore drilling, oil & gas, or maritime operations
- Proven leadership experience within QHSE in high-risk environments
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (PSA, NORSOK, ISM/ISPS, ISO)
- Experience with audits, investigations, risk assessments, and barrier management
- Experience engaging with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
- A strong and visible leader in high-risk operational environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organization
- Proactive leader with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement
- Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English
