About the Role

NOV APL is expanding its procurement organization and is seeking a Senior Purchaser -- in the Supply Chain department to support project execution across our global offshore portfolio.

In line with NOV’s global procurement framework, the Senior Purchaser is responsible for end-to-end project procurement execution. This includes planning and executing procurement activities, leading supplier negotiations, awarding contracts, and ensuring commercial and contractual follow-up through delivery completion.

The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and represents NOV APL towards suppliers, while working in close coordination with Project Management, Engineering, and Logistics . The Senior Purchaser contributes to both project performance and supplier base development, supporting NOV’s cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end project procurement activities in accordance with NOV policies and project requirements

• Manage bidding processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards

• Ensure commercial and contractual follow-up of suppliers throughout the project lifecycle

• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics to ensure timely and compliant deliveries

• Support supplier base development, including qualification and performance follow-up

• Manage procurement-related changes, clarifications, and claims

• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned within procurement

• Represent NOV APL professionally towards external suppliers and internal stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

  • Supply Chain / Logistics

  • Economics / Business Administration

  • Engineering or related discipline

  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal education

• Solid experience in project-based procurement, preferably within offshore, energy, or engineered products industries

• Demonstrated commercial and negotiation skills

• Experience handling international suppliers and logistics

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar) is an advantage

• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities in parallel in a fast-paced project environment
