Vessel Manager \| Offshore Vessel Fleet \| Europe

OSM Thome | Offshore Fleet is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Vessel Manager to join our high-performing offshore technical team. Role can be located at our office in either Arendal or Bergen.
In this role, you will be central to ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑efficient operations for some of the industry’s most advanced offshore vessels.

As Vessel Manager, you will take full responsibility for the technical management of assigned vessels, leading operations to deliver best-in-class performance. You will be the link between ship, shore, and client - ensuring smooth collaboration and operational success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the full technical and financial management of assigned offshore vessels, ensuring optimal performance and cost control.

• Plan and follow up on maintenance schedules, budgets, yard stays, and dockings

• Ensure compliance with class and flag state requirements

• Act as primary operational link between vessels, management, and clients to secure seamless day-to-day operations

• Lead and coach our senior officers onboard, fostering a strong safety culture and high operational standards

Qualifications:

• Higher education in marine technology/engineering (MSc/BSc) and relevant vessel management experience

• OR higher maritime education with experience as an engineer, navigational officer, Vessel Manager, or Superintendent

• Proven experience managing offshore vessels

• Strong command of English (written and oral)

• Solid computer skills and familiarity with maintenance systems
