Senior Project Controller

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Controller to join our Finance Department**.**

In this role, you will manage the project controlling area. This position drives Cyviz' ability to deliver projects profitably and predictably, and works closely with project managers, accounting and senior management. The Senior Project Controller is a key role in Cyviz with company-wide responsibilities and senior management exposure at an exciting time in a global tech company.

Key Responsibilities

Project control

• Ownership of project controlling ---track cost, revenue and contribution margin
• Ensure all projects run on a single, auditable model together with accounting
• Provide real-time visibility of project profitability across global organization
• Run order-intake quality assurance process to ensure correct set-up of projects
• Drive process standardization and quality across global project managers

Forecasting and monitoring

• Run forecasting and monthly closing for the project portfolio
• Define, monitor and act on key performance indicators to ensure situational awareness
• Responsible for project estimation process to ensure cost overrun risks are identified and appropriately quantified

Commercial impact

• Challenge project managers to do corrective actions where needed
• Partner with project managers to generate change orders
• Own the post-project review cycle and feed lessons learned back to sales organization

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of project economics, controlling, accounting and B2B
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Norwegian is an advantage)
• Knowledge of Project Management tools and best practices is an advant

Education

Relevant higher education within finance, business, accounting, engineering or a related field

Experience

• Proven experience in project control, project finance, project managment or FP&A --- ideally in project-based, engineering or technology businesses
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 an advantage)
