Controller -- Finance \& Projects

4Subsea is strengthening the Finance, Accounting & Administration team and is looking for a Controller -- Finance & Projects. The department currently consists of nine people and works closely with both Business Units and the corporate organisation. The role suits someone who enjoys collaboration, variety and taking ownership of tasks across finance and projects.

The position will be based at our Asker office. We are open to both junior and more experienced candidates, and responsibilities may be adapted based on experience and background. We are looking for someone with the potential and motivation to further develop and improve our finance and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Follow-up of accounts receivable, including dunning activities

• Follow-up of accounts payable, invoice approval workflow, post-verification and payments

• Project controlling for one department and/or selected project managers

• Customer invoicing

• Control and approval of travel and expense claims (incl. backup responsibility)

• Statutory reporting to SSB

• Month-end reporting

Qualifications we value

• Higher education at university level; relevant experience may compensate for formal education

• 1--5 years of relevant experience

• Good knowledge of Norwegian accounting standards

• Good general system understanding (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, etc.)

• Experience with ERP systems; Deltek Maconomy is an advantage but not a requirement

• Interest in improvement and efficiency initiatives

• Experience with or interest in using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude or similar

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English

• Structured, accurate and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive, service-oriented and results-focused

• Understands the importance of correct documentation at the right time
