Rotation: 14/21 rotation (100% position)
 

🛠️ Role summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Engineer – Construction to join major oil and gas projects in Stavanger/Stord. You will be part of the on-site team, overseeing structural, mechanical, and piping disciplines through construction and MC phases. The role demands strong technical follow-up, site inspection experience, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure safe and quality delivery.

📌 Key responsibilities

Provide visible HSSEQ leadership and promote a strong safety culture.

Review technical documents and ensure compliance with project standards.

Monitor on-site construction across structural, mechanical, and piping disciplines.

Participate in inspections, tests, and verification activities (per ITP).

Follow up on contractor performance, MC progress, and quality control.

Assist production teams with drawing interpretation and scope understanding.

Ensure adequate skills and quality in contractor/operator teams.

Verify MC documentation, punch items, and handover readiness.

Oversee material receipt, preservation, and traceability.

Participate in SJA, risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, and other HSSEQ activities.

Support the Management of Change and project risk processes.

Actively contribute to coordination and interface between disciplines.

✅ Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (extensive relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education).

Strong knowledge of Mechanical Completion systems (e.g. PIMS CMS, MIPS, IFS).

Experience in HSSEQ and quality auditing.

Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work well in contractor-integrated teams.
