DNO Norge AS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic and agile team. The successful candidate will join our data and analytics team and work across our data platform landscape, from backend data engineering and integrations to analytics and reporting solutions.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, operate, and administer our data platform environment (based on MS Fabric).
  • Leverage APIs to integrate, extend, and automate data platform capabilities, and contribute to robust data modelling that supports scalable, reliable, and business-oriented data solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric data pipelines using Python notebooks, ensuring reliable, scalable, and well-governed ingestion, transformation, and orchestration of business-critical data.
  • Support the development and enhancement of internal solutions, including creating, maintaining, and improving Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Identify and deliver practical AI use cases by preparing high-quality data for advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI solutions in close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Design secure, scalable integrations with corporate integration tools and liaise with master data owners in the company.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of the data platform (and related IT systems) through effective monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support and enhance overall IT solutions, support and services.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and related technologies.
  • Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of recent experience with data platforms, focused on data integrations, API development and automation.
  • Experience with data engineering, analytics, and application development using Power BI, Power Platform, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft products including Azure, Power Platform, Fabric, Entra ID, SQL, Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of IT architecture, data modelling, and end-to-end technical solution design.
  • Hands-on experience using Python, PowerShell, and/or C# to develop pipelines, automation, operational tooling, and administrative solutions for data platform environments.
  • Experienced user of Azure DevOps and Git.

  • Relevant certifications or equivalent are a plus.
