DNO Norge AS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic and agile team. The successful candidate will join our team to deliver excellent IT support to our users in all DNO and support maintaining our hybrid server infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all our IT systems.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for this role is IT User Support in DNO in addition to administering and managing IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment, including servers, network and system infrastructure in DNO.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of IT systems through effective monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support and enhance overall IT infrastructure, support and services.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft 365 and related technologies.
    • Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field. Documented experience might compensate
  • Minimum of 8 years of recent experience in IT system support, with a focus on end user support, server and network management.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft products including Azure, Entra ID, SQL, Hyper V and Active Directory.
  • Understanding ITIL operation model
  • Solid understanding of server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, network protocols, topology and security.
  • Team members in DNO IT are expected to demonstrate hands-on involvement and adaptability, readily supporting colleagues and stepping in to cover tasks as needed.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent are a plus.

  • Fluent in English written and oral
