Data Analyst

Nofence is a Norwegian scale up who has built the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionize livestock management, we need to harness the power of data and insights to make the right product decisions, and we are now looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. Join us and be at the forefront of innovation in agricultural technology!

In this role, you’ll work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional product development teams to transform data into insights that guide decisions, measure product performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll act as a bridge between data and the rest of the organization, making insights clear, actionable and impactful.

You will be reporting directly to the VP of Product, ensuring that you are always contributing to the highest-priority data work that drives our product roadmap forward

The main responsibilities for this role will be:

• Retrieve and process data from diverse sources using SQL and related tools

• Build reports and dashboards that communicate insights effectively across teams

• Leverage analytics tools such as Deepnote and Grafana for analysis and visualization

• Apply understanding of statistics to validate findings and draw meaningful conclusions

• Support product development by monitoring releases, measuring success and identifying areas for optimization

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams, working closely with product managers, engineers, user experience designers and other stakeholders

• Communicate insights clearly, adapting your approach for both technical and non-technical audiences

You’ll be working with a stack that includes ClickHouse, Postgres, Python, Grafana, Datadog, and Deepnote.

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in SQL or similar data-retrieval tools

• Familiarity with data analysis platforms such as Deepnote, Grafana or similar

• Solid foundation in statistics and the ability to validate and interpret results

• Some knowledge of Python or the motivation to learn it quickly

• Hands-on experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks

• Experience working with product and development teams in a collaborative environment

• Prior experience in a data role in a start-up or scale-up environment is a plus

• Strong communication skills, comfortable working both embedded within a team and across multiple teams
