About the role
Reporting to the Finance Director for Iberia and the Nordics, this role focuses on our Nordics region, with a primary emphasis on the offshore windfarm business in Denmark. We are seeking a Financial Controller who will partner with local business teams to drive growth opportunities, enhance business performance, and support finance integration across the group.
You will work closely with our Nordics Finance Manager, based in Stockholm, on budgeting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis.
A key part of the role will be supporting the transition to fully integrated, Europe-wide financial transactional Centres of Excellence (COEs). You will collaborate with COE finance teams—covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Statutory Accounting—primarily based in Alicante, Spain, leveraging our recent group-wide SAP implementation.
In addition, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, as well as the Treasury and Tax teams.
You will be joining a highly motivated, dynamic, and collaborative multicultural team, playing an important role in shaping the future of the finance function and supporting the continued expansion of our international aviation operations.
Your main tasks- Strategic partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to align financial strategy with overall business objectives.
- Financial analysis: Analyse financial data, trends, and performance to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Budgeting and forecasting: Coordinate and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including creating rolling forecasts and budgets
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders
- Performance monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance and profitability
- Cost management: Identify opportunities for cost savings and drive efficiencies across the business
- Financial literacy: Provide financial training/coaching to non-finance staff to enhance financial understanding throughout the organization
- Collaborating with/support the accounting and Finance COE teams on monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring proper expense allocation and provisions.
- Supporting internal and external audits, as necessary
- Manage and oversight of customer contracts and billing, support supply chain with customs and related declarations.
- Teamwork with colleagues providing cross support to our FP&A and COE teams, sharing best practices, driving and maintaining Group standardisation will also be success factors in the role

Who we are looking for
Required Qualifications- Professional qualification: Strong preference for professional accounting qualification and public accounting experience followed by international Industry experience. Aviation sector experience, although not essential, would-be a plus
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Highly desirable - One or more Nordic language, preferable Danish.
- Present a clean criminal record, to obtain access to airport facility
Required Experience
- At least 5+ years' work experience in similar positions
- Experience of ERP systems, especially SAP is highly desired
- Experienced user of MS products
- Analytical and strategic thinking: Ability to analyse complex data and think long-term to support strategic goals. Adept with data analysis and all aspects of financial accounting
- Financial modelling: Strong skills in modelling and advanced proficiency in tools like Excel
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to a non-finance audience
- Influence: Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders across the organization
- Tax: Good understanding of tax and VAT in a cross-border context, and a plus if in the aviation and transport sectors, in particular.
