Join DNV, the world's leading classification society, and become part of the Digital Ship Systems team within Maritime Ship Classification. We are looking for engineers to join the Digital Ship Systems team in DNV Maritime’s Ship Classification. The maritime industry is undergoing a rapid digital transformation. Increasing connectivity, digitalized operations, remote access solutions, and autonomous technologies are changing how vessels and maritime infrastructure are designed, operated, and maintained. Our team plays a key role in this transformation by helping ensure that vessels and critical maritime systems remain secure, reliable, and resilient against cyber threats As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will contribute to the development and implementation of cyber security requirements for ships and offshore units, support certification and approval activities, and participate in shaping the future standards for cyber security in the maritime industry. You will report to the Head of Section Digital Ship Systems.
Key Responsibilities-
Develop and maintain DNV rules, standards, and services related to maritime cyber security.

Perform approval of cyber security documentation for newbuilding and conversion projects.

Participate in certification and type approval of systems, components, and solutions used onboard vessels and offshore units.

Conduct assessments and surveys on ships and at manufacturers' premises.

Provide technical support to DNV's global fleet-in-service organization as a second-line technical expert.

Contribute to the development of new services, methodologies, and digital solutions within maritime cyber security.

Collaborate with ship owners, shipyards, equipment manufacturers, flag administrations, and industry stakeholders.

Support industry adoption of emerging technologies, including connected and autonomous vessel solutions.

Some travel should be expected as part of the role.

We are seeking to hire professionals with following qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Control Systems, Navigation Systems, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field.

Industry experience with automation or navigation systems within the maritime, offshore, or energy sectors is preferred.

Experience in Cyber Security related to vessel and/or system design, implementation, or operation is considered an advantage.

Experience from independent verification, certification, or approval activities is an advantage.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Ability to build trust, confidence, and respect in collaboration with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.

Flexible, service-minded, and positive in your approach to work.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
