The energy transition is reshaping the offshore market, with major investments expected across oil & gas, shipbuilding, offshore wind, and new energy solutions.
To meet this demand, Øglænd System (Hilti Group) is strengthening its Large Projects organization to support an expanding portfolio of complex offshore projects, delivering engineered solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and constructability.
As Lead Engineer, you will drive engineering solutions from concept through installation, working closely with project managers, designers, customers, and commercial teams to deliver high‑quality, buildable, and code‑compliant structures---seeing your designs realized from calculations and 3D models to offshore installation.
Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the engineering scope in projects and ensure high‑quality structural solutions

Shape projects from the start, contributing to project scoping and technical strategy together with Project Managers and customers

Guide and support Design Engineers in executing robust and buildable designs

Review and challenge engineering deliverables, including drawings, 3D models, and calculation reports

Participate in engineering coordination meetings to ensure constructability, accessibility, and safe installation

Estimate, plan, and follow up on engineering activities to keep projects on track

Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and yards, with occasional site visits

Stay up to date with relevant codes, standards, technologies, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience as a structural engineer or in a similar role

Passion for sustainable solutions

Experience with structural calculation software (RTSAB is an advantage)

Strong data‑driven mindset and excellent mathematical skills

Solid general computer skills

You take ownership and understand the link between engineering decisions and commercial outcomes

You work in a structured and detail‑oriented way

You communicate clearly and professionally with engineers, project teams, and customers

You are fluent in spoken and written English (Norwegian is an advantage)

Experience from job sites or yards is an advantage
