We're looking for a SVP Industrial relations & collective Labour Law, to take a key role in driving our industrial relations strategy and ensuring strong, collaborative partnerships across our organisation and with our unions.
In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance, lead complex negotiations, and be a part in creating a sustainable labour relations framework that balances business objectives with people values.

What You'll Do- Shape the future of work: Define, lead, and implement the company's industrial relations strategy aligned with long-term business goals and values.
- Lead with influence: Act as the company's chief negotiator in major collective bargaining processes, ensuring agreements that protect competitiveness while enhancing employee engagement.
- Be a trusted advisor: Provide strategic counsel to the senior leadership team on complex labour law, union dynamics, industrial relations trends and negotiation strategy.
- Drive alignment: Lead the company's approach to collective wage formation in line with business and financial targets.
- Secure sustainable outcomes: Develop and oversee collective agreements, wage structures and tariffs that support the organisation's long-term strategy and operational flexibility.
- Negotiate for impact: Conclude collective agreements and tariffs with unions that deliver sustainable, competitive and forward-looking results.
- Ensure clarity and compliance: Oversee the drafting, review, and management of collective and tariff agreements, ensuring legal compliance, transparency and enforceability.
- Anticipate change: Monitor trends in labour markets, wage models and regulations to proactively prepare the organisation for the future.
- Lead through complexity: Hold overall responsibility for collective labour disputes, arbitration, mediation and litigation.
- Strengthen governance: Ensure governance structures and reporting frameworks for labour relations that are robust, transparent and aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate for success: Partner with HR, managers and other stakeholders to address employee relations issues and mitigate organisational risks.
- Represent with authority: Build strong relationships and coordinate with central employer organisations and other external partners.
- Education: Master of Law with a specialisation in labour law, or an equivalent advanced legal degree.
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in labour law (collective and individual), with a proven record of senior leadership in complex union negotiations and industrial relations strategy.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of national and international labour law frameworks, and strong insight into Scandinavian wage-setting and negotiation systems.
- Leadership: Proven success in leading large-scale collective bargaining and managing complex disputes with professionalism and strategic acumen.
- Global Perspective: Experience in multinational, large-scale industrial or transport sectors, with familiarity in international labour standards and global union federations.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian
