Role? Executive Communication Manager. You will protect and drive the voice of Vend’s leadership, ghostwriting content and prepping the CEO for high-stakes internal and external arenas.

• An experienced speechwriter or advisor to senior leadership, ideally with a background in politics, PR agencies, or corporate office.
• An editor’s mindset. You easily digest complex business strategies and financial updates, turning them into engaging stories under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Norwegian. You need precise control of both to shift seamlessly between big keynotes, internal video scripts or local op-eds.
• A confident sparring partner. You build trust quickly and aren't afraid to constructively challenge ideas to keep the messaging sharp.
• An operational fixer. You thrive on the ground alongside leadership, acting as a trusted veskebærer handles logistics, tech briefs, and real-time adjustments.
• Expertise in executive social media. You know how to scale a leader's profile and build organic engagement

(Note: As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to share writing samples and complete a practical ghostwriting case study).

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

Your core mission is to protect and elevate the voice of Vend’s leadership. Working closely with me, the CEO, and the broader Comms team, you will ensure our messaging lands exactly as intended with our internal Vendies and the external market.

Your day-to-day will be a mix of deep-focus writing and execution. One day you are ghostwriting an op-ed or scripting an All Hands presentation; the next, you are prepping the CEO. Alongside this, you will build a scalable framework for the CEO’s LinkedIn presence and roll that strategy out to other key spokespeople across Vend.

Success after six months means you have nailed the CEO’s voice and established trust. After a year, you will have built a functioning framework that measurably increases leadership engagement internally and externally.

Life in a corporate communication function is rarely predictable. You will regularly operate with moving targets, tight deadlines, and incomplete briefs. The challenge is to manage the pressure of important topics while maintaining confidentiality and a calm head when priorities shift. The opportunity is direct access and the platform to turn fluid executive decisions into anchoring narratives.
