MYP Coordinator

About the job

The IB MYP Coordinator will liaise between the teaching faculty, the Principal and other members of the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for the following areas:

• All aspects of MYP implementation
• Curriculum and documentation
• Leading communication and collaboration within the department
• Planning and implementation of the curriculum
• Professional development of teachers
• Teacher appraisal in conjunction with the Head of Secondary
• Clear communication with students and parents regarding the curriculum
• Resource management

The MYP Coordinator position may include teaching duties across the Secondary Department

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for a professional who:

• Has at least five years previous experience as a MYP Coordinator
• A HKDir/NOKUT approved secondary school teaching qualification 
• Has written and oral fluency in English (minimum B2)

and:

• Has a proven track record of IB professional development
• Can lead and model collaborative planning sessions across the department, as well as in-house professional development, including workshops, mentoring colleagues, lesson observations and guided goal setting for teachers and students
