Join KOK Oslo as a Skipper - Create magical Sauna Experiences on the Oslo Fjord

About the RoleAt KOK Oslo, our sauna cruises are one of our signature guest experiences. As a Skipper, you’ll ensure every cruise is both safe and unforgettable - combining professional seamanship with warm guest hospitality.

This is a role for someone who loves being on the water, takes safety seriously, and also enjoys connecting with people. You’ll prepare and operate sauna boats, navigate cruises, and act as host for our guests - delivering the magic of KOK Oslo on the fjord.

Your Responsibilities

1. Prepare sauna boats - cleaning, heating, fueling, and ensuring everything is ready.

2. Navigate cruises safely in accordance with maritime laws, weather conditions, and company safety procedures.

3. Welcome guests, provide information, and guide them into the sauna.

4. Host during cruises - checking in and ensuring guest comfort.

5. Perform rituals such as aufguss (when required) and use of essential oils.

6. Offer and manage additional sales (drinks, merchandise, etc.).

7. Support guest check-out and encourage return visits.

8. Restock supplies and consumables before each cruise.

9. Keep boats tidy and well-maintained, including opening/closing routines and refueling.

10. Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements (including lifesaving training and skipper certifications).

11. Step in as Sauna Master at the quay when not on cruise duty.

12. Provide assistance to the customer care team when required to ensure a great guest journey.

13. Contribute where needed to support the wider team.

You Should Have

• Relevant skipper certification.

• Strong swimming ability.

• Experience operating boats safely and professionally.

• Guest-facing or hospitality experience is a plus.

• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.

• A safety-first mindset with attention to detail.

• Flexibility and willingness to contribute across the team.
