We are now searching for a Chef/Steward to join the crew of our Norrøna Varg S/Y. This is more than a job; it's a chance to share your passion for food and adventure in the stunning, wild landscapes of Northern Norway.
We are looking for a crewmate who is- Competent: A seasoned chef with proven experience in a maritime environment. You know the unique challenges of cooking on a sailboat and are dedicated to your craft.
- Curious: You are eager to explore and innovate with our "Arctic Fusion" concept. You have a deep passion for the flavors of Northern Norway, and you're not afraid to seek out the best local ingredients to create something truly special.
- Supportive: You understand that we are stronger as a team. You will work closely with a captain/skipper and a guide, contributing when and where needed and to a positive and respectful crew culture.
- Passionate: You are dedicated to delivering the highest quality. Your passion for food is evident in every meal, and you take pride in creating an unforgettable culinary journey for our guests.

Crafting the Experience: Planning and executing a unique menu for our 3 to 7-day sailing trips, focusing on the "Arctic Fusion" concept in collaboration with the head chef at Norrøna HQ.

Galley Management: Taking full ownership of the galley, from provisioning and inventory to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Collaborating for Success: Working seamlessly with the crew to ensure the entire guest experience, from sailing to dining, is world-class.

Seasonality: We sail year-round, but with high and low seasons. This is a seasonal, trip-based position where you will be serving meals and snacks for six to ten guests. Opportunities for day trips and special events may also arise.
