About the role

We are looking for an experienced Preservation Engineer to take responsibility for planning, executing, and overseeing all preservation activities for major projects in Stord. 

This role involves coordination, discipline leadership, technical oversight, and ensuring all preservation processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project standards.

The ideal candidate has solid EPC experience, strong multidisciplinary understanding, and the ability to manage preservation deliverables from planning to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preservation discipline activities, including administration, communication, and manpower coordination.
• Maintain and update the project execution plan for your area of responsibility.
• Responsible for all preservation deliverables, including material and CPI reception, protection, and preservation.
• Monitor resource needs and ensure efficient implementation and execution of preservation tasks.
• Guide and support preservation personnel, ensuring tasks and deliverables are completed according to standards.
• Responsible for execution and follow-up of ITP inspections within the discipline.
• Plan, monitor, and report progress in line with project schedule, budget, and contractual milestones.
• Coordinate and exchange information with other project disciplines for interface-related matters.
• Ensure HSE aspects are fully assessed, planned, implemented, and followed up across all preservation activities.
• Prepare and execute preservation activities according to governing project documents.
• Contribute to establishing discipline procedures, governing documents, and work instructions.
• Support technical responsibilities and take part in relevant forums as agreed.
• Participate in tender work when needed.
• Participate in Commissioning/MC/Preservation networks and support knowledge-sharing across projects.
• Transfer project learnings to the experience base and contribute to developing the discipline.

Qualifications

• Technical or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience from EPC processes within topside facilities and/or renewables.
• Strong understanding of preservation work processes and discipline interfaces.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools: MIPS, PIMS, MS Office 365, and Autodesk Simulate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Norwegian.
