About the Position

As Retail Manager International, you will be responsible for the commercial performance and development of Norrøna’s international retail network, including own stores, outlet locations, and franchise/partner stores.

You will hold full P&L responsibility for owned retail operations and play a key role in driving revenue, profitability, operational excellence, and premium customer experiences across all international markets.

This role requires a commercially driven and hands-on retail leader who can combine strong operational execution with leadership, partner management, and strategic growth initiatives.

The Retail Manager International will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive sales, profitability, and KPI performance across international retail operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop store managers and retail teams to build high-performing organizations
  • Ensure all stores deliver a premium, customer-centric experience aligned with Norrøna’s brand standards
  • Oversee franchise and partner store performance, ensuring operational and commercial compliance
  • Execute visual merchandising, campaigns, product launches, and retail standards consistently across markets
  • Monitor store performance data and implement actions to improve productivity and profitability
  • Lead and support new store openings, expansions, and operational preparations
  • Ensure consistent implementation of systems, tools, processes, and routines together with Sales Operations
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Operations, and other central functions
  • Contribute to forecasting, market planning, and international retail growth initiatives
  • Gather market insights and represent retail feedback across the organization

Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in retail management, preferably in fashion, sports, outdoor, or premium lifestyle brands
  • Experience working across international markets
  • Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Fluency in English required, additional languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally
