Primary School Teacher - Supply

About the job

We are looking for a primary school teacher to work as part of a highly motivated and collaborative teaching team. Our primary school offers the IB Primary Years Programme, a balanced curriculum that promotes the acquisition of key skills and behaviours through inquiry-based learning. 
This is a part-time temporary position (75% - 08:15-15:15, term-time only), available from November 2025 until June 2025.

Qualifications and skills

• NOKUT approved teaching qualifications
• The ability to differentiate learning in the classroom
• Excellent English language skills, both written and oral (minimum B2)
• Some knowledge of the Norwegian language
• The ability to use ICT to support and enhance learning within the classroom

Experience

• A proven record of primary school teaching practice. 
• Experience teaching children aged 6 to 8 will be an advantage.
• Experience or knowledge of IB programmes (specifically the Primary Years Programme) will be an advantage

• Open minded, reflective and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills to create good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• The ability to think creatively and take risks
• A collaborative and consultive approach when working in teams
• Confident and inclusive classroom management skills, centring on positive behaviour strategies
• The ability to take initiative 
• A commitment to continued professional development
