📌 Role overview

We are looking for a structured and analytical Hydrocarbon Management Engineer to support allocation and reporting processes for oil and gas production across multiple fields. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate allocation, data validation, and production reporting in line with commercial agreements.

This role involves close collaboration with metering engineers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, and plays a key role in maintaining data integrity across systems.

🔑 Key responsibilities

• Allocate oil and gas production volumes between fields sharing a common installation, in accordance with commercial agreements.
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of allocation and reporting tasks.
• Validate production data and correct errors or missing data when necessary, often in cooperation with Metering Engineers.
• Re-run allocations and issue updated reports when historical corrections are needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, tools, and routines related to allocation and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders involved in hydrocarbon accounting and production reporting.

🎓 Qualifications

• Higher education in IT, process engineering, finance, or another relevant engineering discipline. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within metering and/or hydrocarbon allocation is preferred.
• Familiarity with energy components or similar production reporting tools is an advantage.
• Proficient in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
