CFO \| Driving Performance and Strategic Value Creation

Questback is entering an important phase focused on strengthening operational performance and supporting future strategic options. The company operates under active financial ownership, placing clear demands on discipline, business acumen, and board-level communication.

The CFO will be a key member of the management team with overall responsibility for the finance function. The role involves improving financial planning and reporting, and ensuring the company has the insight and discipline required to execute its strategy. Beyond finance, the CFO is expected to translate data into actionable insights, challenge the organisation constructively, and help management make better decisions. The role requires someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on in a relatively lean organisation. The role is based in Oslo, with regular interaction across Questback’s Nordic and European organisation.

• Own the finance function and ensure high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and compliance
• Strengthen predictability and transparency around ARR, revenue development, cash EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow
• Improve reporting on core SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR, GRR, expansion, contraction, and customer profitability
• Act as a strong business partner to the management team: challenge assumptions, identify performance gaps, and connect strategy to financial plans
• Prepare material for board and investor discussions, and communicate clearly with financially sophisticated stakeholders
• Support selective M&A activities, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and integration planning

• Strong finance leadership experience, ideally as CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Director, or equivalent
• Experience from B2B SaaS, software, subscription, or recurring revenue businesses
• Solid understanding of ARR, churn, NRR, GRR, revenue recognition, and SaaS unit economics
• Experience working with boards, owners, investors, or lenders
• Strong analytical capability and ability to translate data into actionable business insights

• Experience from PE-backed, debt-funded, or investor-owned companies
• Experience with M&A, including due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition tracking
• Experience from companies strengthening financial leadership, performance management, or preparing for future strategic options.
• Experience with international operations, preferably across the Nordics and Europe
• Experience improving finance systems, reporting structures, and management dashboards

You are business-oriented and pragmatic, with an analytical and fact-based approach. You communicate clearly and credibly with boards, owners, and investors, and challenge constructively without creating unnecessary friction. You are hands-on and willing to go into detail when required, while bringing the maturity and perspective needed in an investor-owned business. Low ego, high integrity.
