We are seeking a practical, service-minded, and proactive IT Support Technician to join our school community. This is a hands-on role supporting teaching and administrative staff, as well as students, with classroom technology, AV systems, Microsoft 365, and Apple/iOS devices.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy and dynamic school environment, confident communicating with both adults and students, and able to respond calmly and effectively when issues arise. They will also take a proactive approach to maintenance, organisation, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will be part of our supportive and proactive IT team, working closely with our Technology Manager and Data Protection Officer and our Senior IT Consultant. Together, the team plays an important role in ensuring that technology supports excellent teaching, learning, and operations across the school.

Key Responsibilities-
Provide first and second-line IT support to teaching and administrative staff and students through our internal ticket system

Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint, and our Learning Platforms, Toddle and ManageBac

Troubleshoot and support Windows and macOS devices, printers, and peripherals

Set up, maintain, and fault-find classroom AV equipment (projectors, displays, audio systems, etc.)

Assist with device deployment, basic asset management, and user onboarding

Carry out hands-on and physical IT tasks, including network maintenance, moving equipment, technology maintenance

Provide calm, professional support in classrooms, offices, and during school events

Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users, particularly teachers

Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and iOS in an organizational environment

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience providing end-user IT support

Confidence working with AV and classroom technology

Understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, connectivity)

Fluent English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with staff, students and parents

Willingness to carry out practical, hands-on, and physical tasks (such as event organisation and stage setup)

Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning

Experience working in a school or education environment

Familiarity with Apple School Manager, Jamf, Toddle, ManageBac and device management

Relevant IT certifications

Approachable, professional, and service-oriented

Calm under pressure and solution-focused

Confident speaking with teachers, students and parents

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team

Reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
This is a varied, hands-on support role with a strong face-to-face element. It includes regular interaction with staff and students, practical IT tasks, and support during events and daily school operations. The role offers broad exposure to real-world IT systems in a supportive school setting, with opportunities to further develop both technical and professional skills.
