Help shape the future of defence technology by developing customer relationships and driving international sales. Rheinmetall Nordic (RhN) is a growing provider of advanced technology solutions for the defence and security sector. We are looking for a commercially driven Sales Director to join our Sales & Business Development team.
In this role, you will be responsible for selected customers and markets, helping to strengthen Rheinmetall’s presence across the Nordic region and European markets. You will work closely with customers, technical specialists and colleagues across the Rheinmetall Group. The position involves regular travel within the Nordic countries and across Europe.
You will become part of the Sales team and report directly to the VP Sales.
Your Key Responsibilities-
Develop and grow relationships with key customers and partners

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across international markets

Lead tender processes, proposal development, and contract negotiations

Work closely with technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions

Contribute to sales strategy, market development, and business growth initiatives

Represent Rheinmetall Nordic at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or another relevant field
-
Experience from sales, customer-facing roles, project management or business development
-
Interest in technology and complex products
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team

Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken

Experience from defence, aerospace, technology or industrial markets is an advantage, but not a requirement.

As part of this, relevant candidates will be subject to background checks, and the successful candidate must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with applicable national regulations and industry requirements.
LocationThe position is currently based in Nøtterøy, Vestfold, Norway. In summer 2026, the office will relocate to newly renovated facilities in Skoppum, also in Vestfold, just a short walk from the new train station, set to open in August 2026.
