Jefferson Wells is looking for two experienced Senior Project Engineers to take a leading role in marine installation engineering. This is an opportunity to work on complex offshore projects from our client’s Oslo office. Offshore experience and strong competence within cable laying operations are essential.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 8 months
Location: Oslo (in-office)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project documents such as MDR, procurement plans, technical specifications, operational procedures, and calculations.
• Perform design modifications and protection performance evaluations based on soil data.
• Participate in document reviews (DIC, IDC) and ensure accurate as-built documentation.
• Incorporate HSE and quality requirements into engineering and procurement activities.
• Establish and resolve interface requirements.
• Follow up subcontracted work (Survey, ROV, Vessel) and suppliers.
• Attend progress meetings with the client and perform offshore supervision.
• Conduct Safe Job Analysis, HAZOPS, and FMEA as required.
• Delegate work packages and ensure delivery within time, cost, and technical requirements.
• Contribute to department development, training of new personnel, tender work, and R&D initiatives

Background and Qualifications

• Senior Engineer with 5--10 years of relevant experience in cable laying operations (preferably export cables/interconnectors).
• Offshore experience required
• Relevant education (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness and ability to train others on tools and software within the discipline.
