As a Principal Engineer within Marine Engineering & Operations, you will play a central role in strengthening the Marine Department and supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery across studies, tenders, and EPCI projects.

About the position
In this role, you will act as a key resource within marine engineering and operations, contributing across Field Development & Offshore Wind as well as Concepts & Studies. You will perform conceptual and detailed design of temporary steel for marine operations, including grillage and seafastening, lift points, guides, and bumpers. Your responsibilities include preparing marine subcontracts and developing marine operations descriptions and designs for tenders, studies, and EPCI contracts. Collaboration is a core part of the role, involving regular interaction with other engineering disciplines, T&I contractors and subcontractors, marine warranty surveyors, and clients. You will also follow up marine operations both at construction sites and offshore to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or structural engineering

  • Minimum 8--10 years’ experience within offshore wind or oil & gas marine and structural engineering in EPCI projects

  • Experience in hydrodynamic, mooring, and structural analyses

  • Knowledge of methods, technologies, and equipment used in marine operations

  • Understanding of the market landscape, including key players, vessels, and equipment relevant to marine operations
