Sales Manager, Ship Repair & Conversion

 

At VARD, we are strengthening our sales team in the Repair and Conversion department. We remain committed to supporting our customers through the green transition, providing guidance and solutions across the entire lifecycle of their vessels. We are working within all types of vessels in maritime industry covering amongst other vessels ferries, fishing, fish carriers, Navy, wind and offshore. The sales team is located in HQ Aalesund, and covering all Vard Yards in Norway.

So – what are your skills? 

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage customer follow-up throughout the vessel’s lifecycle
• Proactively reach out to potential customers and maintain strong relationships with existing ones
• Negotiate with customers and suppliers to secure optimal agreements
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals
• Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions
• Monitor plans at shipyards and define strategies to maximize available capacity

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of ships, shipbuilding, and the maritime industry
• Technical or maritime education is an advantage
• Ability to work fluently in both Norwegian and English, as our customers are based both in Norway and internationally
