Netlife develops and operates a white label workflow and ecommerce platform used by volume photographers in more than 30 countries around the world. Our customers photograph more than 7 million students and athletes every year, and our ecommerce platform handles a yearly transaction value of more than 1000 MNOK.


 

To keep up with our growth and enable us to be even more ambitious in the future, we are now looking for more talented and friendly people to join our small but growing team.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Desktop Software Developer to help us build workflow tools for the volume photography industry. Our desktop applications are used daily by photographers, photo retouchers, photo printing lab personnel, and other professionals who rely on stable, high-performance software to get their job done.

You are passionate about creating robust, testable software with a strong focus on stability, performance and reliability. You enjoy working collaboratively with product team, system architects and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality products that solve real-world problems.

As a Desktop Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled engineering team based in Trondheim. You are thorough in details while being motivated by technically challenging problems involving large-scale systems and high-throughput workflows.


 

Qualifications:
  • B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Experience developing cross-platform desktop applications.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to design and build robust clients for unreliable or high-latency network environments.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including client-server architectures and request/response patterns.
  • Quick learner and passionate about technology, both using the right tools for the job, but also being interested in new technologies.
