Are You the Head Chef Who Will Lead EGON Narvik?

EGON is coming to Narvik - and we are looking for an experienced, operational Head Chef to build and lead our kitchen from day one.

In fall 2026, EGON Narvik will open its doors at Thon Senter Narvik. This will be a brand-new restaurant in the heart of the city, offering everything from premium steaks and flavorful pasta dishes to fresh seafood, burgers, and our popular pizza buffet. Our ambition is to become the natural meeting place in Narvik - whether guests are shopping, meeting friends, enjoying a family dinner, celebrating special occasions, or picking up take away on the go.

We are now searching for the right Head Chef to build the kitchen team, establish strong routines, create a positive culture, and ensure excellent food quality and operations from the very beginning.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join EGON before opening and play a key role in shaping one of Narvik's newest restaurant destinations. As Head Chef, you will be the senior leader of the kitchen and have full responsibility for its daily operation, financial performance, and team development. This is a hands-on leadership role where you lead by example and work closely with your team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Your Responsibilities

• Full operational responsibility for daily kitchen operations

• Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation standards

• HACCP compliance, food safety, and kitchen routines

• Cost control, inventory management, and financial performance

• Staff planning and scheduling

• Recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of kitchen employees

• Creating a positive, professional, and performance-driven kitchen culture

• Collaborating closely with the restaurant management team to achieve common goals

Sauces and dressings are prepared in-house using EGON's own recipes, and our kitchens play an important role in maintaining and developing the quality standards that have made EGON one of Norway's most successful restaurant concepts.
