Naval Architect

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Naval Architect in ourPropulsion and Handling division at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of Sales Support team in Thruster Systems business, delivering support to our external and internal customers worldwide during sales projects.

Key accountabilities

• Evaluate and propose suitable thruster solutions to meet customer requirements
• Provide technical support to Sales and Sales Support, including evaluations and clarifications
• Perform hydrodynamic calculations such as speed prediction and bollard pull analysis
• Participate in customer meetings to support Sales Managers as needed
• Contribute to R&D initiatives and continuous product development
• Collaborate with the Kongsberg Maritime Hydrodynamics Research Centre

Qualifications and experience

• BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of propulsion systems/products is considered an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred to be Rauma, Finland; Kristinehamn, Sweden or Ulsteinvik, Norway. Other locations can be considered.
