MYP Coordinator

We are looking for an MYP Coordinator who:

• Approved teaching qualifications in Norway (HK-dir/NOKUT), or currently in the approval process

• A relevant teaching degree

• Previous experience as an MYP Coordinator

• High level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written

• A valid police clearance certificate is required for the position

• Enjoys being in the classroom, with teaching as a focus initially

• Can establish structures, routines, and curriculum documentation for a developing MYP

• Provides guidance and introductory training in IB principles and practices

• Has strong digital skills

• Models the IB Learner Profile in daily practice

Candidates with the following qualifications/experiences may be prioritized:

• Experience working in international schools

• Experience from Norwegian/Scandinavian educational contexts

• Leadership experience or formal leadership training

• IB professional development

Arbeidsoppgaver

Bodø International School (BOINT) is a newly established international school, opened in 2025 and currently a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). From August 2026, we will expand our provision to include the first years of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are now recruiting an MYP Coordinator who will play a key role in developing and implementing the programme.

This position combines teaching and coordination. In the early years, teaching will be the primary responsibility, while coordination duties will increase as the school grows and the programme develops.
