Required qualifications

• Approved teaching qualification for primary education

• Teaching certification recognised in Norway, either through Norwegian qualification or formal recognition by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir)/NOKUT

• Candidates who are currently in the process of obtaining such recognition may also be considered

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

• A valid police clearance certificate is required for the position

Candidates with the following qualifications/experiences may be prioritized:

• Experience from the Norwegian or Scandinavian school system

• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme

• Experience from an international school environment

• Knowledge of the Norwegian language

• IB professional development

About the role

The person we are looking for will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based teaching within the PYP framework

• Collaborate in transdisciplinary planning and unit development

• Support student learning and development through responsive, student-centred teaching practices

• Model the IB Learner Profile in daily practice

• Contribute positively to whole-school development as part of a small and collaborative team
