Project Buyer -- Strengthen Our Team with Your Talent

Do you want to play a key role in launching new products and ensuring that our supply chain is robust, cost efficient, and strategically aligned? We are looking for a Project Buyer who thrives at the intersection of project work, strategy, analysis, and supplier development.

About the Role

As a Project Buyer, you will be a central member of our KBD--NPI project teams, responsible for all purchasing-related activities from the early development phase through to a successful SOP. You will actively contribute to ensuring that projects meet their targets for cost, quality, timing, and supplier strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Purchasing representative in KBD--NPI projects

• Prepare cost and lead-time estimates in early project phases

• Ensure supplier capacity, quality, and on-time delivery throughout the project

• Coordinate handover to Product Buyers at project completion

• Analyze quotations and conduct price and terms negotiations based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle

• Evaluate suppliers’ production and delivery capabilities (capacity, risk, process)

• Identify and leverage consolidation opportunities and negotiation synergies across projects

• Contribute to cost optimization and standardization

• Purchase prototypes, tools, samples, and development materials

• Follow up on supplier documentation, QAP/Pre‑QAP, in cooperation with SQD

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience, preferably within the automotive industry

• Experience with project purchasing, supplier negotiations, and LTA agreements

• Strong understanding of supply chain, risk analysis, and cost structures

• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills

• Experience with ERP systems and purchasing administration
