Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical System Engineer to support greenfield offshore projects in oil and gas and offshore wind. This role includes responsibility as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for electrical procurement packages and supporting engineering for small power systems, ensuring high-quality design, documentation, and coordination across disciplines.

Tasks and responsibilities

• PRE responsibility: Review, comment, and finalize supplier documentation for electrical procurement packages, including main switchboards, sub-distribution boards, and UPS systems.
• System support: Help the discipline lead in finalizing engineering documentation and provide follow-on support for modifications on small power systems (lighting, sockets, heat trace, etc.).
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure work is systematic, accurate, and adheres to deadlines and quality standards.
• Proactively seek advice, share experience, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred, Technical College with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering for greenfield offshore oil and gas or offshore wind projects.
• Strong knowledge and experience with electrical design standards such as DNV, ATEX, IEC, and VDE.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Cooperative working attitude and ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment.
• Multidiscipline understanding with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Systematic, accurate, and committed to high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Norwegian.
